Sarasota High School closed down in 2008 because of too much damage done to the building due to the fact that it was built in the 1920's. Ringling bought it and are currently saving up to rebuild it and turn it into a new museum. My lighting class got to go in and shoot for two of our classes. Most people shot models in the environment but I wanted to shoot the deterioration of the school. Having permission to shoot and being able to bring in lights to shoot was a huge help as opposed to breaking in somewhere and shooting what you can before anybody shows up.
